Design Depending on your geographic location and existing regulations will determine what can and cannot be built where you live. Once this is determined we can design a variety of shapes and sizes to meet your budget. Whether you are interested in a pier, dock or boat house we can design and build to fit your needs.
Proposal When meeting with our customers we provide a comprehensive proposal that outlines all the works to be done and all the works that are excluded, so that all parties to the contract understand what is expected. A design or drawing for the work to be done is always included with our proposal, again for clarity. Our proposals will also include an in depth description of the materials that will be used in the construction of your pier, dock or boat house. Permitting Permitting on the Intra Coastal Waterway, lakes, rivers, and streams of Florida require approval in most cases from the Local County, City and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. In some cases approval from the Army Corps of Engineers may also be required. Typically the process can take from two weeks to six months depending on the permit applied for and the agencies involved. www.dep.state.fl.us/central/home/slerp/docks/docks.htm This is a very demanding and bureaucratic process!! In some cases you may be required to make a personal appearance before a city commission or a regulatory council. We are pleased to use Coastal Waterway Services, Inc. as our permitting company to assist in this demanding process. They are here to help with federal, state and local permitting for docks and seawalls. Therefore your participation in these endeavors is not required. dock-permits@cfl.rr.com |
